Summary
Hmm…Black Adam serves as a compelling addition to the One:12 Collective line, particularly for fans of the character and the Marvel Family. The figure features a striking head sculpt that captures his menacing expression and intricate detailing on the classic black and gold costume, which includes a unique cape with a hood and a metal chain. Despite its high-quality aesthetics, the figure has limited accessories, lacking an alternate head sculpt that would enhance display options, which may disappoint some collectors.

Bman - Branden’s Toys

Bman - Branden’s Toys highlights the impressive articulation of Black Adam's cape for dynamic poses.
Pros!
- Highly detailed, lifelike head sculpt with exceptional paint applications, creating a near-realistic appearance.
- Tailored black spandex suit fits well, enhancing overall aesthetics without sagging issues.
- Unique lightning bolt accessory can clip onto the figure, offering enhanced display options.
- Soft pleather cape with wired hood allows for dynamic posing, though the wiring could be improved for better draping.
- Superior articulation supports a wide variety of poses, with improved rocker ankles for deeper stances.
- Flight stand includes an articulated arm and a character-specific display base, providing versatility in poses.
- Overall design stays true to the character’s classic comic book appearance.
- The figure’s suit material has a sparkle that enhances its visual appeal under light.
- Improved hip joint design prevents sagging issues noticed in the previous Shazam figure.
Cons!
- Limited accessories for an exclusive figure, lacking an alternate head sculpt or additional accessories.
- Cape wiring stops short below the shoulders, leading to awkward draping unless posed carefully.
- Included cape posing accessory is viewed as cumbersome and not well-received.
- High price point ($80) feels unjustified given the limited accessories and part reuse from the Shazam figure.
- Some reviewers noted that the articulation, while standard, had tighter hip joints compared to previous releases.
