Pros!

  • Unique interpretation of Batman’s first-year suit, blending elements from the Golden Age, Year One, and other eras.
  • Realistically draped leather-like cape made from pleather material.
  • Highly detailed headsculpts, particularly the Batman cowl with long, sharp ears and an expressive Bruce Wayne portrait.
  • Extensive articulation, with a two-piece neck design allowing significant head movement.
  • Improved ankle articulation for deeper, more natural stances.
  • Includes a wide variety of accessories: two heads, seven interchangeable hands, ten batarangs, a heavy assault Bat-brick, a wrist crossbow with tranquilizer darts, a grappling gun with three interchangeable hooks, and a display stand with adjustable arm and cape display kit.
  • 3D chest insignia recessed into the suit with hand-painted detailing on the belt and accessories.
  • Detailed spandex outfit with body armor, spiked wrist cuffs, SAP gloves, and intricate tactical boots.
  • Utility belt designed to be adjustable with poses and includes a holster for the grappling gun.
  • Comes with a branded storage bag for accessories and hands.

Cons!

  • Non-wired cape limits posing and interferes with articulation.
  • Limited ankle pivot and absence of toe hinge restrict foot articulation.
  • Batman cowl head frequently pops off during handling.
  • Minor stray paint marks on the masked head sculpt; paint quality slightly less perfect compared to other figures in the line.
  • Bruce Wayne head sculpt described as less realistic, with a stylized or animated appearance.
  • Suit color scheme (grey and black) is less visually striking than the all-black variant, reducing overall appeal.
  • Absence of purple gloves, which were expected by some collectors due to early Batman inspirations.
  • Some reviewers noted that the “heavy assault Bat-brick” accessory felt unnecessary and lacked a suitable hand for holding it.

Product Description

Every Knight has a beginning and the One:12 Collective’s Batman starts here. Batman—Ascending Knight is part of a trilogy: A beginning, a middle and an end. The Ascending Knight is Batman in his first year; designed to be contemporary but still have a first appearance feel. This is the Batman of 10 years ago, as he just began his war on crime.

At the start of his crime-fighting career Bruce Wayne is still working things out, finding what works and what doesn’t. Some of his tech and gear is still a bit unfinished and raw. His Bat Suit is bulky, showing that he has not yet fine-tuned it.

Of course the design pays homage to Batman as he first appeared in Detective Comics. The shape of his cowl, the shorter gloves and the smaller symbol on his chest are all inspired by his original debut in the comics.

The One:12 Collective Batman—Ascending Knight features:

  • One (1) detailed Batman head portrait
  • One (1) detailed Bruce Wayne head portrait
  • A One:12 Collective body with over 30 points of articulation
  • Hand-painted, authentic detailing
  • Over 16cm tall
  • Seven (7) interchangeable hands including: One (1) pair of fists (L & R) One (1) pair of Batarang holding hands (L & R) One (1) pair of posing hands (L & R) One (1) grappling-hook holding hand (R)

  • Cowled Head
  • Spandex outfit with body armor detail
  • Leather-like cape
  • 3D chest insignia
